St Joseph's entered two teams in the Killyleagh football tournament in Monday, held at the Bridge playing fields. The group games were close affairs with many games being won or lost by a single goal. Highlights included two goals by the predatory Ronan M, tigerish defending from Rene, huge work-rate from Nicole in midfield, and some impressive marksmanship from Alfie in the box. Emer's team made it to the cup semi-final by finishing in the top 2 in their group. There they lost to eventual winners, Portavogie PS. Lillie's team made it to the Plate final but were pipped by Holy Family. Overall, it was a great day's sport.
