Gaelic Blitz
St Joseph's PS attended a gaelic blitz on Thursday 21st October in St Patrick's Boys Primary School Downpatrick. It was organised by Kyla Trainor the Down County Board coach that takes the children in Key Stage 2 weekly for gaelic. St Joseph's played four matches in total as Cedar Ps and St Patricks entered two teams each. The boys and girls played extremely well despite their age and size differences compared to the other schools. They defeated Cedar A team in the first game with some excellent scores from Caolan Conlon and hard work from Caolan and Dylan Boyle. In the second game they overcame St Patricks B team in a very entertaining game. Some great scores from Conor Curran and strong defensive work from Daniel McHugh paved the way to success. In the third game they suffered a very heavy defeat to a strong St Patricks A team despite trying hard. In the final game they had a comprehensive victory over Cedar B team with goals flowing form Dylan, Emma, Ruari and Caolan. Congratulations to all the children who participated especially the younger children in P5 Josh, Mark and Dylan.
