Investigating the Properties of Sand and Soil
1st Jun 2017
As part of our 'Ancient Egypt' topic, pupils have learned all about the landscape and the important role of the River Nile. We conducted a science experiment to compare the properties of sand and soil. We found out that soil is most suitable for growing crops, as it is absorbs the water and has lots or nutrients in it from dead plants and insects. Thank goodness the River Nile floods each year!
