Olympic Torch
9th Aug 2012
The children of St Joseph's turned out in large numbers this morning along with the community of Crossgar to greet the Olympic Torch as it passed through the village. Despite the poor weather, the children were very excited and brought their torches and flags out to wave as it passed. As the long calvacade of cars, police and buses passed, the children waited eagerly for a glimpse of the torch. This once in a lifetime opportuntiy passed in a glimpse of an eye as the torch bearer ran on towards Saintfield. The children of St Joseph's can always say that they have witnessed this historic event!
