P1 update
Hi all P1 parents, just a quick update:
Wednesday is library day so if you can remember to pop the library book into the schoolbag each Wednesday so your child can choose a new book to enjoy at home.
Wednesday has been confirmed as P1 PE day.
To make the most of PE day send your child to school with their PE gear on.
PE gear is jogging bottoms and trainers.
Your child can wear their yellow polo t-shirt and school jumper as normal.
You will find a small book in your child's schoolbag containing letters that we will add to each day.
This is an introduction to the Jolly phonics sounds that we are having fun with in school.
We will do much more work with these sounds when formal homework begins after Halloween.
For now you can have a go with your child to see if they can remember the sounds. But don't worry if they can't as this is just a gentle introduction.
We have more information, help and guidance for you at the P1 curriculum meeting that unfortunately had to be cancelled due to circumstances beyond our control. My apologies for any inconvenience this may have caused.
The new date for the P1 curriculum meeting will now be Thursday the 11th of October at 5:00pm.
We hope to see you there, however we know your time is very precious and if you are not able to attend the meeting the information will be sent to you.
If you have any questions or concerns just let me know.
Many thanks
Mary McConnell
