P3 and P4 have really enjoyed exploring the topic of 'Rescue at Sea.' During topic lessons and activity based learning, the boys and girls have been designing, building and creating boats and lighthouses, using mapping skills and co-ordinates to find lifeboat stations in Northern Ireland, problem solving to create boats from PE equipment, role-playing Grace Darlings brave rescue and RNLI rescues and thinking about what qualities a lifeguard might need. They have been fantastic team members, working together and sharing ideas and also have been working on their self-management skills, to make sure they understand instructions and have the right equipment.
